AN APPEAL FOR A UNITED FIGHT TO SAVE GLOBAL FREEDOM OF USING INTERNET
AN OPEN LETTER
REQUESTING TO PRESERVE THE FREEDOM OF SPEECH & EXPRESSION
01/11/20158
Respected Minister of Information & technology,
GOVT. OF INDIA:
I am here would like to inform you and appeal to protect our freedom of using Social Media.
Members of my community and I would like to speak with you about Net Neutrality and the future of the open Internet. Earlier this year, in response to an unprecedented public outcry, the Federal Communications Commission passed historic rules protecting Net Neutrality and reclassifying broadband access service under Title II of the Communications Act. The new rules return authority to the agency as Congress intended, reverse years of policy decisions based on shaky legal footing, and protect Internet users’ right to communicate online.
But there are now efforts underway in Congress that would dismantle the FCC’s decision and leave Internet users at risk. We would like to speak with you about these recent developments.
Such a conversation is essential to the future of our democracy, and is of critical importance to your constituents.
We are available to meet with you in your NEW DELHI office AS PER YOUR AVAILABILITYY at your convenience. If you are unavailable, we would be happy to work with your office to schedule another time to meet.
Please let me know what would work best for you. My contact information follows below.
Thank you for your time. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Anjan Kumar Samal
